Default Commute from Capitol Hill to NoVA. How bad is it?
Hi! I am interested in getting insight on the traffic situation driving from Capitol Hill to Ashburn Va. Is it better to take 395 to GW Parkway? Or take Constitution to 66? How long is the commute? What roads get backed up? I've endured many horrendous commutes and would like to know what I'm getting myself into before I move to the area. Any tips - hours, backroads, etc - would be much appreciated.

395 gives you lots of options, depending on the day's traffic report:
GWP to US-50, VA-267, or I-495, then Hwy 7 or Georgetown Pike
Also VA-110 to I-66

Taking Constitution to I-66 is always a headache
