Thumbs up names of apts in north arlington?

Hi,
I've finally decided on North Arlington. I have rec'd the apt showcase book, there are lots and lots of apts in Arlington section but it doesnt divide it by north or south. Can anyone recommend specific apts in North Arlington which are in a good public middle school district. Names or zip codes will be helpful. Thanks tons guys!

With very, very few exceptions, streets and avenues in Arlington are designated with either an "N." or an "S."; the dividing line is Arlington Blvd (US-50). Even roads that don't cross Arlington Blvd are still labeled as such (ie, South Jefferson Davis Highway, even though there is no North Jefferson Davis Highway).

As far as middle schools go, you really can't go wrong anywhere in Arlington, particularly the North side of town. 20007, 20009, 20003, and 2004 are the main zipcodes in North Arlington. We used to live in Archstone Virginia Square which was really nice. It's right on top of the metro, 1 block to Quincy Park and the Central Library, and lots of shops and restaurants nearby in Ballston and Clarendon. Hope this helps.

I researched the Archstone Virginia Square and I like it a lot. I am however slightly confused regarding the zipcodes. When I clicked on the links you provided for the zipcodes it gives me the data but the area is listed as DC area. Is North Arlington part of Virginia or DC? It's a little perplexing maybe you can elaborate...?? Thanks!

All of Arlington is in Virginia. "DC Area" just means it's near DC, not in DC.

Those are DC zip codes, except for the last one which isn't even a zip. I think you're referring to 22207 (Lyon Park/Upper North Arlington), 22209 (Rosslyn), 22203 (Ballston) and 22204 (Columbia Pike/Bailey's Crossroads, actually mostly in South Arlington). Clarendon (22201) is also a good chunk of North Arlington.

The middle school attendance boundary line runs right along Wilson Boulevard, so be very careful about where you choose exactly. Many people try to avoid Jefferson Middle, and try to stick to Williamsburg or Swanson. Many of the expensive new Clarendon apt. complexes are districted into Jefferson, while some of the Va Square and Ballston apartments go to Swanson, and the Courthouse/Rosslyn area goes to Williamsburg. But you really have to check on a building-by-building basis.

There's a boundary map here http://www.apsva.us/1540108110404718...dleschools.pdf

and an attendance locator by address here OnPoint Map Viewer

I would double check and call the county on which school your child will be attending before signing any lease
