I would like to visit Ford's Theater soon with my 6 and 9 year old boys. I think we would all enjoy seeing the Lincoln exhibit and the museum. I haven't been there in years so I'm not sure what type of tickets we need to buy, whether to schedule a tour, what we should plan to see, etc.

We'll be taking the blue line from Springfield, which station should we get off at?

Thanks!

Get off at Metro Center. Its one block from the 11th street exit. I doubt you need reservations for the tour, but why not call or check the website?

Thanks! I checked out the website and it looks interesting. And it does seem that we'll need to get timed tickets to visit the theater and museum. I wasn't sure how crowded it would be during the day, though. I wonder if it's worth paying the ticket master charge for advanced tickets or if we should just go on over and take our chances...

It's summer time. Lots of families will be visiting DC and Ford's Theater. I advise you to get your tickets before you go. That's what we did when the four of us went.

It's a wonderful experience to see the theater and the museum. I believe it is still staffed by National Park rangers and they know the story and how to relate what happened in down-to-earth style. The kids will like it. The rangers make it very exciting.

Have a good time.

Thanks for the info, sounds like a neat place. I'll be sure to get advanced tickets.
