You sound like you would be surprised at how many blacks live successful and inspirational lives period. Blacks are humans too.

I think it's less intense here than ATL. Everything is more politically correct, and it's all "live and let live" policy.

I don't know if that's apathy, or indifference, or even not trying to make the 6 o'clock news, but as far as gay or even lesbians go, I think DC is a lot more socially accepting than ATL, and also very welcoming.

As a straight man, and who lived in Atlanta and grew up in Georgia, I think ATL is a lot more fun, but I know that the gay scene is not accepted at all there. And I understand this question, because it's a legitimate question for a gay black man from Georgia/Atlanta area, which is heavily segregated and anti-gay (also anti-homeless people).

I have been to DuPont Circle several times now and on average I see 2-3 black men per night. Where do gay black men hang out in DC? So odd. I've been to 3 different bars and seen 2-3 black men max. Maybe I'm coming on all the wrong nights but this is nothing like Atlanta or Chicago.

There is a large black gay crowd scene here, it's just a bit lowkey.

I sent you a Direct Message....

Number nine I think is the most popular with the gay black scene but the bar is mediocre.

Nellies is basically awesome at everything. Cheap drinks and large black crowd. Howard isnt far away
