Default Looking For an Interior Designer

Hi,

New to this board and to the district as well. My wife and I just got our offer accepted on a smallish 9650 sq ft) apartment in the Kalorama area. It is in need of some work to make in move-in-able.

I am looking for a designer that's reasonable in price and is good with small spaces. In our New York apartment, we worked with a Swedish friend who is great with this type of space, and he was able to make a fairly plain apartment into a wonderful space to live - and there's also a desk work area.

At the time, he worked for one of the closet designers and he did lots of built ins, as well as complete closet overhauls - it was the best move we could have made.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

Try Sjtorm & Theory. Here is their website:

Sjtorm And Theory

They had a store in Clarendon but I think they moved. They're local folks so they know the area and the clientele very well. They do everything from staging to full design work and even historic restoration. They're strong on re-purposed and eco-friendly furnishings.Good luck on your new place!
