Why should we stop believing the "lies about socialism"?

Obamacare's foundation principle of forcing everyone to buy healthcare, thus increasing the pool and therefore reducing premiums, turned out to be a big fat lie.

Actually, what was promised was reducing the growth in premium growth. That's happening:

The big finding is that the growth in health insurance premiums was only 3 percent between 2013 and 2014. That’s tied for the lowest rate of increase since Kaiser started measuring (this is the 16th year of the survey).

No kidding!

Premium stayed at $1700 / month (no increase) and out of pocket increased by $26k last yr!

Great deal! (Tough on 'retirement / no income')

Well (of course this is anecdotal), but the company that we used for health insurance's premiums were set to increase by almost 50% last year - that health insurance company's largest premium increase in many years. We had to switch to a company with much higher deductibles and less coverage.

But of course, Obamacare had nothing to do with that.

if you don't believe me, go to any European country. If you think it's cheaper to pay $500 a month and then still pay for deductible, co-pay and % of the total than paying a tax and receive completely free visits and treatments, you are deluded.

Wonder why Asia is today filled with Europeans seeking medical tourism? (for last 4 decades).

I was with many Europeans in need of quality and affordable healthcare during my 2014 stay in Thailand.

Nothing is free.
