Port Townsend maybe? It's a lovely little place. Hansville is beautiful as well, but it doesn't have shopping, etc. However, it is close to Kingston and Poulsbo, so that's pretty good..

The coast is beautiful, but the weather is gray a lot of the time. Might be a factor for you, esp. coming from the Sunshine State. I would look on the East side of the Cascades. Outdoor opportunities abound, and a lot more sun. Definitely the four seasons.
