Hello,

My fiance moved to Everett about a week ago. I am still looking for employment before I relocate up there. Are there any tips about employment? I have seen the housing and crime rates in Everett. I am interested in how hard it is to find a job up there.

Thanks!

There is a lot of competition for most jobs in Washington, except probably low end ones like fast food.

Everett is a city with a lot of character. It has beautiful areas that are definitely worth living in. But it does have a lot of crime...and really that only comes from a couple of different spots. Casino Rd (bad reputation for a reason)....North Broadway area (just plain trashy) - Everett mall area (apartments behind the mall are referred to as "the jungle" HA!)...but other than that Silver Lake is great, Forest park area is excellent. Rucker hill is where I am from and I absolutely love it. The view of Puget Sound is great and if you have a boat it is even better.

As far as jobs are concerned I hear it is pretty hard...but it is pretty hard everywhere you go. It depends on what you are looking for as well.
