Default Port Townsend In-Warrant Car service?

We are considering moving to Port Townsend next year. But one issue occurred to me. We have a BMW and a Volvo. The Volvo will be in warranty for service.

The closest dealers seem to be hours away.

How do people do in warranty car repair in Port Townsend?

They drive to the city where the dealer is.

I live on the coast.
I drive a Subaru.
The nearest Subaru dealer is in Olympia, 75 miles away.

I used to drive a VW.
The nearest VW dealer is also in Olympia.
I once had to have work done that only the dealer could do.
Luckily I had towing insurance to pay for the 75 mile tow.

Same answer as Freddy. We're in Port Angeles and I have my Volvo serviced at the dealeship where I bought it (Tacoma). My BMW's are motorcycles and I have them serviced in Seattle.

We typically will "bundle" vehicle service with other things that we want to do in the Seattle/Tacoma area on the same day. For example, take the vehicle in for service first thing in the morning. Sit there and read my Kindle for an hour or two and wait for it to be done. Take off and go shopping for items not easily found on the peninsula, visit friends/relatives in the Seattle/Tacoma area etc. etc. Then have dinner at one of our favorite Seattle restaurants and head home.

Keep in mind the same trip will be required to see medical specialists, orthodontists, tax attorneys, commercial architects or whatever more specialized services you might require.

Access to service is simply one of the trade-offs that you will need to be willing to make to live on the peninsula. IMO, it's well worth it as I love living here personally. But.. I'm sure not everybody would be willing to deal with this ongoing "inconvenience"-

Good answers so far.

Surprisingly, there are only three BMW dealers in western Washington. So yes, if you are in need of warranty work, you have to seek an authorized service center so there's no alternative than to go to the Seattle area.
