I hope to explore Olympia more. I live in Seattle and have never really explored Olympia except for this one fantastic little shop whose name I forget, but the aura of it was too appealing and they had top-notch French onion soup, so delicious, I learned how to make it!

........ still isn't as good tho

Thanks for the comment! I did the same thing when I was waiting to move here. I was stuck in Orlando, Florida, waiting for my house to sell, knowing that I'd be moving here as soon as it did. I read this forum a lot in the meantime, and it kept me excited about the move, especially threads with photos (although most were of Seattle). I'm glad I could help!

Let me know if you think of the place! I believe there are close to 1,000 restaurants in Thurston County, so I haven't been to them all, but I have been to most of the places around downtown Olympia. I'd be curious to know where you had really good French onion soup, as I love it too.
