Default Gold Bar, Washington

Gold Bar is no longer a population of 2,000. There has been a lot of new construction & the construction continues. Many people have given up corporate careers to pursue their real career passions while being able to live among the naturally rugged & rustic beauty of the Cascade Mountains. Gold Bar has a very real potential to be one of Washington's most desirable towns to live. It is, however, a town that needs help & I think a thread could help bring Gold Bar the attention it so desperately needs.

The Gold Bar area is naturally beautiful. The views are magnificient from nearly everywhere not to mention the hiking, kayaking, skiing, bicycling, river rafting, etc. making it a year-round outdoor sporting area for the active individual. Cabin Fever is never an issue. In addition, you'll find Nature at its' finest with the many varieties of wild animals. The elementary school has its' own rustic beauty with Mountains serving as a backdrop. City Hall looks like a big log cabin home.

This mountain foothills town needs some TLC however. No area this beautiful should be allowed to be treated as an enormous trash site (as anyone who drives around the original housing areas will see). It's also become a serious "dump-off" area for unwanted pets. There are changes that desperately need to be recognized by others than who live here.

City-Data could be a great step in bringing Gold Bar & its' natural beauty to attention to those unfamiliar with the town & to validate it as a worthy residential living area with unlimited possibilities.
