Hey, I know a perfect place for Liberals...........Eugene, Oregon. I'll bet 90% of the residents there are of the same mindset. I'll bet you could even hold hands there and sing Kumbaya.

Just a reminder: I realize the OP has asked for "rants and raves" but I'd like to see more geographic discussions. The reason I say this is that every time we have this subject come up, it degenerates to a lot of name calling and personal attacks. This isn't the forum to discuss political views in general ...we have a separate forum for that.

So please, no personal attacks. Thanks!

Judy & Randy.....take a deep breath. This is a place for pleasant conversation, not attacks. And I'm sorry if you don't know what passive aggressive means. (See previous sentence for example). = ) Ok....I'll stop now. I don't want to play your game.

What's up with Judy and Randy? I thought by moving "out west" we would escape that kind of thinking/behavior. I guess intolerance is everywhere.

I think some people just like to stir things up. I don't think they represent the norm for out here.

I would like to know more about Gig harbor. We are moving there next year. I am a recovering republican turned independant conservative. I don't care for either of the (big box store)parties. I don't see to much difference between them.

I have friends in Gig Harbor and they are sort of middle of the road. The vibe I get from Gig Harbor is that it is a mixed bag. It seems primarily upper middle class within the city limits and doesn't seem hyper liberal or conservative.....just sort of somewhere in between. Maybe mostly people who are fiscally conservative but socially liberal.
