That sounds like heaven to me. I am crossing off the days until we move. California is in big trouble and I for one don't want to stick around to see how it turns out.

mariners1 - Gig Harbor is absolutely GORGEOUS! My parents lived there for a couple of years and it is like a picture on a postcard. Very green and a good view of Mt. Rainier from many spots. We visited in the late July/early August part of the year and the weather was great - even had a little rainstorm or two! The harbor itself is nice and has little shops and places to eat right on the water. Seemed like most homes in the area were on large lots. The people we encountered in town were friendly, although the police seemed to be behind us alot of the time (must have been our Cali license plates!) I would definitely like to visit again! I don't recall my parents ever mentioning any political problems in the area, but I was on vacation, so it probably didn't come up as a topic!

If you wouldn't mind, please describe the "big trouble" that you think California is in. I am sincerely curious about what you mean.

Thanks.

mslol--We are going to a Seahawks game in Dec and look forward to visiting Gig Harbor again. We will get there in time to see the parade of lights with the boats. We will also get to see what the town looks like at Christmas. I really loved everything about the Island. I know we will be very happy there.

Intolerance.....that's laughable. Liberals are the 1s who can't stand any thoughts but their own mis-guided "feel good" thought processes. You Libs only care about what sounds good due to your self-annointed superiority, whereas us terrible Conservatives care about actual results of your theories(or anyone elses). I used to think eventually you young'uns would wise up, but I've now given up hope. Your political kind have already taken most the control of the whole Left coast. But we still refuse to let you have it all your way. We CARE too much about this USA to let you trash it. And if you get your way in the end you will all blame someone else but yourselves for your pathetic results.

True, California IS in big trouble because the State Legislature if packed full of Liberals who find another way to raise taxes every chance they can. And the Governator is married to 1 of them so he's just as bad.
