Fredrickson (Puyallup, South Hill, Spanaway: new house, neighborhoods, construction)

Seems like this is an up and coming area, does anyone have an opinion as far as living there? Looking at one of the new neighborhoods to move to. Thanks

I live a mere few miles from what I guess they are referring to when "they" say Frederickson. Frederickson is essentially a smaller area of a large unincorporated area, not a town. It (Frederickson) consists of a large intersection with a huge shopping center going in. It's all dirt right now. Oh, and there is also a smaller Boeing plant. Any housing that is advertised as being in Frederickson is likely in South Hill Puyallup or Spanaway. If you can elaborate a little bit on what it is you are looking at and for, I can help you figure this out!

What etonmymind said is somewhat true. They are "trying" to make Fredrickson a city. Right now i live in Spanaway/Fredrickson. Soon it will be a city. However it will not be puyallup or South Hill that is way too far north. Too answer your question it is fine living here. There will be a HUGE shopping center, cannyon will be four lanes both ways, and canyon will come all the way thru. Like i said WILL. Right now there is alot of construction going on with Ikea warehouse and the city engineer facilty also being built. If you can handle the traffic for now it will be an up and coming city soon. There are also a huge amount of houses going up make sure you do your research. We just bought and built a new house and it was a great experience. We went with Quadrant and it worked out great.

Does anybody know what stores will be at the new shopping center???
I heard a Costco, but that was about a year in a half ago.
