I come here quite often to visit relatives. I got to tell you, they need to develop the area a lot more. I find it quite ludicrous that one grocery store has a monopoly in the area and the quality of their merchandise is terrible not to mention they sell alcohol to kids frequently. I think Birch Bay could benefit from a Albertsons. Also, more police presence is needed. There are a lot of drunks driving in the area and future to be criminals roaming cars causing a lot of vandalism.
Definitely drunks and punks around Birch Bay and Blaine too. Too many punk kids that like to vandalize and Birch Bay has a psycho, cat killer on the loose who has been driving around residential neighborhoods and shooting cats with a real gun in broad daylight apparently.
Oh well.......losers are everywhere, but I disagree that Birch Bay NEEDS to be developed much more than it has been in recent years. I do agree that the limited choices of grocery shopping are a problem though. It's either Costcutter in Blaine or Ferndale....(6 miles or 10, respectively) or the overpriced, dinky little grocery store IN Birch Bay itself.
BTW.....Costcutter is appropriate since they obviously cut costs by never having more than 1 or 2 checkers working.....no matter how busy the stores are!

Default Furniture purchase

Where do the residents of Bellingham buy the majority of their furniture? Where is the best place to buy a car from?
