Hello we just wanted to see some of your amazing sites in Washington, possibly staying a few days. What are some good areas to stay? I know when people come here from RIA they assume its a great area based on the looks and how hotels are everywhere but its actually not the best or safest place. I was just wondering. Nothing expensive.. were just visiting not moving or anything thanks.

There are tons of good areas... (I have my biases!) But you need to give more info... budget, what kind of sights (city, ocean, mountains, etc), what you like to do... in order to give some good ideas.

As mentioned above....more info. would help but IMO....as a visitor to WA.....I would seriously consider checking out Mt. Ranier Natl. Park, Mt. St. Helens....possibly as well....the San Juan Islands, Leavenworth and the Olympic Peninsula....or ANY one of the above depending on your time/budget.
Some of the above locations would probably be better at different times of the year though. Leavenworth looks awesome (like Bavarian Alp village)... and is the premier destination for Oktoberfest, for instance. Ah...decisions, decisions. ![]() |

If you want to see Seattle in 48 hours, it's do-able, but the State would take more time.
Seattle plan suggestion: From Sea-Tac, take a taxi or (cheaper) bus into a downtown or Sea/Center hotel. Start with the Seattle Center, do the Space Needle to get an overall feel. Then take in the "Experience" music center, also near the needle, then the monorail to Westlake. Walk west to the Pike Place Market. Walk to the Seattle Art Museum about 6 blocks south. Back on the monrail and if you still have time, do a walk-on Washington State Ferry to Winslow, and come back in the afternoon for some great afternoon views. And then realize that there is so much more to see in Washington State, and will need more time! |

If I had just a weekend, or a few days, I think I'd drive the North Cascades Loop and may throw in a side trip to Grand Coulee Dam. That's just me though.
