Olympia is so slow and boring. Not much going on. Friendly people. Seattle is more exciting. Hope to move in the next year.

Eh, I don't know if you necessarily have to backpedal on that overcast/rain statement, chris.

Here's the article that mentions that out of 193 cities in the contiguous 48 states, Olympia had the most days of rain over three decades.

And the rainiest city in the U.S. is... - LiveScience - MSNBC.com

Rocco, thanks for the info!

Olympia actually had the most rainy days on average across the three decades (63) of all the cities in the study
That seems kind of low to me, or at least it feels like a lot more. I also saw the comments in the Seattle rain thread too which I hadn't heard before, one of the links goes to Komo which has the following information:

Quote:
SEATTLE - Those new to the area this summer, with its seemingly endless sunshine, might be surprised that Seattle only averages 58 sunny days a year

As for the rest of Seattle's days, we average 226 cloudy days (4th most in the U.S.) and 81 partly cloudy days. Of all those days, we get 155 days of rain a year (we've had 97 so far this year.)
I wonder why the other study says it's the highest average at 63? Maybe it's a misprint and they meant the number of sunny days. Or per usual I could be misreading it.
