Looking to move to san juan islands soon
Hi Everyone!
We are looking to move to the San Juan Islands
soon and it is a toss up between Friday Harbor and Eastsound on Orcas Island. My dream is to follow the Killer Whales and do under water photography of theses amazing mammals. My husband is a sm engine machanic and has his degree, plus he is a "jack of all trades". We will do any kind of work just to be able to live out on the island. We have 1 dog and 1 cat. Anybody with any suggestions would be helpful.

Two good choices. Of the two, I like Orcas, but you really a matter of the one that you like better. Which one will be better for your work.

Beautiful and picturesque are the criteria. Might I suggest Colville?

I suggest you have a lot of $ or a viable home business that caters to the outside world (beyond islands, like telecommuting or an e-business). Island living isn't cheap and good employment is scarce.
