Default Sumas,WA questions.

I am thinking about starting a gas station out in Sumas, the only reason really is because it is so cheap to start it out there, I found a location right near the border.

I would like to know though, is it a profitable area, the only assumption here being that I would have to get a lot of Canadians during the weekend rush.

So, is the border packed ever? Is there a lot of traffic rolling through Sumas?

That is mostly it. Thanks.

That would be great..now. The problem is when/if the dollar gets strong again then these stations fold.
The crossings are packed now, with gas easily $1 less alot of them come down to get gas....and drive bad.

I have friends in Trail who consider it well worth it to cross the border to buy a full tank of gas. But as rkcarguy said, that is subject to the vagaries of exchange rates and might not last. A lot to risk a business on.
