We are thinking about purchasing a vacation/retirement home in the Bellingham/Ferndale area and Sandy Point was brought to my attention by the Realtor. I will ask her some questions about the area when we meet up by I want to hear from the locals about what the situation is with Sandy Point being located on an Indian Reservation? I actually didn't notice until I brought the map up on on mapquest and noticed it. Should I assume I only own the house and is there some sort of lease agreement that I should know about? Should I avoid this area? I did notice there are not many houses for sale, at least in my price range which looks like a good sign but I have no clue. Mapquest also indicated it's about a 20 minute drive to downtown Bellingham and would that be a fair assessment? If so that may be too far from Bellingham anyway. Any advise?

I get it but can you elaborate on what you mean?
