Yeah. Ever notice what happens when road infrastructure is expanded? It fills up in no time because it encourages more folks to use it. Developments spring up, shopping districts / centers, tourist use increases ....

arrrrgh!

Another sensational region heading for Development of Doom.

I think most of the doom development already occurred. Now they are just trying to catch up with infrastructure. People ask me about Sequim and Port Angeles and I describe them as almost the same place now since they are so connected--like a Dallas/Ft Worth, Minneapolis/St Paul. So many houses and small shops between the two--the cities just merged.

No, it can (and will) continue to get worse. Every freeway expansion in America results in more overcrowding along the route ... in no time flat, the expansion is overwhelmed by additional flow.

Sequimgeles will become Port Townsequimgeles.

There is a private school in Port Townsend as well. Swan school is one and there are a couple others. I think. go to GreatSchools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community and you can find out a lot more information about schools.

I feel your pain nullgeo. Can't stand the materialistic transplants that end up enslaving the local population. They move up here pass laws that make it impossible to log, farm, or fish. Us locals lose our lively hoods then find ourselves working at their new mega walmart making minimum wage for the rest of our lives. But I guess thats progress and all progress is good right?

I ended moving to Alaska for school this year. I was planning on moving back afterwards, but it seems like Alaska has been left alone for the most part. I do feel a bit like a refugee though.
