I've been browsing through the apartments in Everett, and I'm surprised how many nice ones there are. They ARE a bit pricey, but then again, so is the New Orleans area. In fact, it's about the same here as it seems to be in Everett.
My price range is 600-1,100/mo. I'm mainly looking for safety, avoiding traffic (if possible), nearby amenities and proximity to the Boeing facility. It would be just my wife and I, no kids (yet). Anyone live in the Avalon development? It seems there are a few all named Avalon _______. Is this a nice area? How is the complex kept up? What are your favorite/least favorite thing about it? Also, if anyone would like to mention any other similar options, please do. |

What is the address of the one you're looking at? Whatever you do, stay the heck away from the Casino Road area.

That's a "decent" neighborhood, very conveniently located for Boeing, freeway access and shopping. Probably quite busy, but relatively safe. Car prowls are probably the majority of the crime. It is quite close to Everett Mall and the major shopping area, so traffic is probably pretty heavy, especially on weekends.
Summary: Great location for your work and shopping, but you'll pay for that with increased traffic and congestion. |

I live in a an Avalon Community in Issaquah. They're all over the country, and the ones I've seen in WA and CA are always very nice. We couldn't afford to live in an Avalon community in CA. :giggle:
The one we're in now is great. They are well maintained, the office staff is friendly, the maintenance staff responds quickly, we love it here. V. =) |
