Default Haunted Washington?

This may be an odd post but my wife and I are really into the paranormal activities that you can do. I used to visit abandoned mental institutions that were said to be haunted in Texas, as well as in Maryland. I would like to know if there are any particular places in Washington that share gruesome story's, or detailed haunting that recur for a good "scary" experience?

The underground tunnels of Seattle and Manresa Castle in Port Townsend are two that I've heard of. There are tours of the underground, and two hauntings in Manresa, a priest in the attic and a young woman who committed suicide, as well as a couple more there. You can Google it to find good website stories.

There are several places in Port Townsend. My favorite was discovered when we stayed there, the Palace Hotel. Check the site for the local organizations and you will find many locations including Seattle.

Washington Paranormal Societies, Washington Paranormal Groups, Washington Paranormal Investigators, Washington Ghost Hunters

I saw the Manresa Castle has a Halloween Masquerade Blues Ball this October. Has anyone been to this in the past? Might be a neat setting for Halloween. Wondering if it would be worth going?

I don't think it's actually "haunted", but rather more of a tourist trap, but the Vortex in southern Oregon isn't too far from Washington. Google "Oregon Vortex".

I was talking about this with some people on another forum (car forum) and we were talking about if we have ever experienced ghosts/paranormal experience. I just copied and pasted my story from that forum:

My parents had taken off for the night to go party with friends somewhere on the island and left us to hang out on our own. We decided at about 2:00 in the morning we were going to ride our bikes around the island towing a wagon and look for a farmers field we could steal a bale of hay out of to shoot my bow at the next day.

After riding round for a while we come across a church and cemetery up on a hill. At this time its after 3:00 am and we are out in the middle of nowhere riding around like idiots. The church for no apparent reason has every single light on inside of it lit up like the middle of the day. Again like idiots we decide to stop and check it out because there are no cars in the parking lot.

We ended up going into the church which is one big open room with pews and one small room off of the back for the pastor to prepare sermons or something (im not religious). Upon stepping foot through the door I got a very strange feeling that made all the hairs stand up on my arms. Its hard to explain but I heard lots of voices in the church..but not really words? and it almost sounded like they were being spoken directly into my head? and not actually out loud if that makes any sense.

I stood there basically scared out of my mind when my buddy turned and looked at me....we just stared at each other for a second and then bolted out of the door back to our bikes with out saying anything. We pretty much rode as fast as we could back to the cabin, got inside and locked the doors lol

Once inside the cabin my friend Shane asked if I "heard people talking in there". I was basically like holy *****!! you heard that too?? We really didn't talk about it much after that night only once or twice but it weirds me the hell out just typing this and I live 3,000 miles away from that damn church now. I dont know if this would fall under ghost or paranormal or what but im 32 now and its the creepiest thing I have ever experienced......like all kinds of voices whispering directly into your brain.

I went back out to Lopez Is. with my g/f about 3 years ago and ended up driving there in the day time to take a couple pictures of the church. I have no clue if anyone else thinks that place is creepy although im guessing the people that go to church there and have wedding there dont lol

Anyways this is a picture of the church I found. Its old, built in like 1887 I believe:

Is the place "haunted"? I have no clue but it scares the hell out of me. If you check it out worst case scenario its a really great drive/ferry ride to a very pretty place. The cemetery has a lot of old head stones too which are neat.

You could also try Maltby Cemetery......supposedly haunted but I have been there and it never gave me the creeps or anything lol
