Default Where to live near McChord AFB???

I'm interested in some positions open at McChord AFB. Where would you recommend living near there? We have two children in elementary school, so schools and low crime rates are important.

Thank you.

MovingfromMN,

I would recommend Dupont, which is 10 minutes from McChord AFB. Dupont belongs to the Steilacoom school district, which is superior to the Clover Park school district that surrounds McChord and Fort Lewis.

If you don't mind a 20-30 minute commute then Lacey or Olympia would be another great choice of a safe community with great schools.

Good luck with your job search.

Sandy
