Default Edison....

Not much there at all.....
Lots of flat farmland around and a VERY small town basically on the Whatcom/Skagit County line.
Nice scenery around though and its close to beautiful Chuckanut Drive/Mtns.
And......VERY close to the Skagit Hotel/Casino.

There is nothing to tell. It's a small cluster of buildings, maybe 15 or so, on a bend in the road. They've got a post office/liquor store, a bakery, a tavern a restaurant with limited hours and a couple of "galleries". Those and a couple of houses and that's it. It's surrounded by farmlands on Skagit River delta bottomland. It is quite subject to flooding. Most homes in the general area that have been built in the last 20 years are on raised foundations. Edison is at least 20 minutes from any services in any direction. That's a long way to drive for a quart of milk.

Last time we were through I was surprised to see some big McMansion type houses springing up outside town (if you call it a town- it's reaaly small). I assumed it was flood plain and not good for building on.

It is scenic and very cute in a small-town Iowa sort of way.
