Default The City of Maltby

In case you haven't heard, there is an effort underway to incorporate the city of Maltby before it looks like Lynnwood.

Our fair city is known and loved by residents and visitors alike who enjoy the rural feel and weekend trips to the Maltby Cafe and Flower World.

We aren't against progress, we know change is inevitable, but we want to have a say in how our community is shaped, not removed politicians in Everett.

Check out our blog site for details at MaltbyInc.blogspot.com

Please share your thoughts on this matter here.

Default Incorporation/Standards and Specifications

When an individual or business wants to build in Maltby, what Standards and Specifications do you refer to? As a former contractor, when building you need to use city or county specifications for putting water pipes in the ground, storm drain, sewer, traffic, etc.

I know Maltby isn't incorporated so it is unlikely that they have their own. If you do not know, would you happen to be able to steer me in another direction where I could possibly find out?

Thank you,

JR Johnson

Default Go with the county for now...

You're right, until Maltby is incorporated you'll still need to go by the county code for drainage, sewer, traffic, etc.

Hopefully in 2 years that will change to the city of Maltby code. I would imagine there won't be drastic changes though in those areas.

Default City Of Maltby

Hello I am looking for the group that is working with Snohomish county on some basic guidlines for all the prposed commercial and light industrial buildings. I know we will never stop growing but as an group/organization hopefully we can work with Sno. Co. on protecting our nice Maltby area. I know their have been some meetings about this subject. I would really like to know what we as a community would like to see imposed on these new buildings. Please reply.

I see on the Snohomish county councils agenda that a small group of individuals calling themselves MaltbyInc or Yes Maltby has proposed to rezone to high density a large portion of the Clearview and Maltby areas. Who do these people think they are? You need to email or call councilmembers Gossett and Somers and tell them what you think about someone else asking to rezone YOUR property.
