I haven't even seen much of the state yet, and I could already make a list a mile long.

For me I would say:
Crescent lake (the drive around it specifically)
Cape Flattery
Hoh Rain-forest
Hoh River along Upper Hoh Road
Hurricane Ridge

If we are picking one place, I would say not the Palouse, but I do think it deserves a mention in the top 20.

Paradise on Mount Rainier probably gets my vote for most beautiful.

Forest Road 25 that runs from Randle to Hwy 14 by the gorge is stunning, particularly near Mount St Helens. You'll see roadside waterfalls, lovely views of the mountain, and the greenest forest in the area.

I also recommend taking a drive through the North Cascades National Park. Be sure to see Lake Diablo and stop at Washington Pass.

Skagit Valley!!!!!

And there's a place on Whidbey, up by Deception Pass, you walk way back into the woods, and eventually you will come to a maple tree with leaves bigger than the biggest frying pan in the world. It is a sight to see.
