Are these things as much an issue in Bellingham as my neighborhood in Seattle. Is Bellingham relatively safe? Can kids bike or run around neighborhoods over there, unlike over here? Getting fed up with the safety issues over here, but unsure if it is integral to all West Coast cities.

Bellingham is pretty safe. You can check for sex offenders online.

There is no part of Bellingham that I would feel unsafe walking through at night.

Bellingham isn't known for being SO friendly.

Can anyone tell me of any micro-climates in Bellingham where there is a dryer area? I am thinking of relocating and don't to be in too wet of an area. Thank you!

You probably don't want to live in Bellingham if you don't want to be in too wet of an area.

If you want dry, you don't want Bellingham. There are no microclimates around here.

There are indeed microclimates.

The Lummi Nation area has a lot less rain from what I can tell. Does that mean more sun? Probably not much of a difference. Stay away from Sudden Valley though.

There are micro-climates, but they are all wet.

Bellingham is the least sunny place in the US.

Unlike over here? Maybe you're just overprotective?
