Question Need moving day suggestions-Bonney Lake area

Hi everyone,

Here in the next couple of weeks we are moving to Bonney Lake. We are driving a Penske truck ourselves. Does anyone know who to contact regarding movers to help us move the stuff off the truck?

If it's not permissible to post here, please send me a private msg with any info.

Thanks and we can't wait

You can call any moving company and arrange for a couple of lumpers to help. They're professional movers and will handle your goods with care.

Safer than hiring the guys you'd find at truck stops.

Lumpers is not a derogatory term, BTW, it's the term used in the industry for the guys who do who do the heavy lifting. I spent some time doing that kind of stuff while I was in school.

We used the "Starving Students" guys when we moved out of our apartment in Fife (3rd story) into our house in Milton a couple years ago.. Think it was $300 or so, but it was worth it, especially moving stuff down three flights of stairs. Not sure if that's amenable to what you're looking for but give it a shot..

BTW, good luck on the move... A couple people I work with live in Bonney Lake and love it there. Seems like a real nice area, we looked in the area a little bit before we settled on our house in Milton back in 2005..

Thanks! We are very excited. We have been working on this for about 3 yrs to get up to the Seattle area. Our home is just around the corner from where the kids will go to school and we have a big back yard. It's just perfect.

Have you been to Bonney Lake? If so, can you compare it a city in So Cal? Since we are down here it might help us get a feel for the community. We have reviewed everything on line and I get a great feeling when I talked to the school, etc. Just was curious if anyone had any insight.

A guess would be that Bonney Lake is not comparable in anyway to any city in Southern California with their Illegal problems - which after 12 years is why we left.

You should have a very low crime rate there. What you will have to get used to is constant rain though - in Tacoma the sun would come out for 5 minutes and then disappear for an hour. It does get dreary but it beats the crime and congestion of California. The rain is only in the fall and winter though - the springs and summers are beautiful and not too hot. In our place in Tacoma we used just electric heaters in the winter and just a fan in the summer.

My wife and I are going to sell and move somewhere too - we dont like Missouri but it is safe here.

Good luck and keep us posted. John Hansen majorhart@sbcglobal.net
