Smile Desperate to Relocate to WA!

Hi Everyone!

We are currently living in Scottsdale,AZ. Both of us are big outdoors people and we really want to live in a place where we can do outdoor things year round. The summer's here in AZ have taken a toll on us... It didn't cool down this year until October!!! It is our dream to have a small house/cabin and beable to grow edibles!
We have been trying to reloctae to WA for approximately five years. The problem is the job situation. My boyfriend is a corporate pilot and breaking into the market in WA has been impossible. We've had a few bites here and there, but nothing ends up panning out. The "dream" position would be a corporate pilot for a company or family. If anyone has ANY info on ANY flying jobs, please let us know!!! Thank you so much for your help!!!

There are some corp and private pilots that work out of the Tacoma Narrows Airport in Gig Harbor. I don't know of any job openings specifically, but it could be a start.

Moderator cut: orphaned statement
We are not rich. We do not live in a million dollar house. We live in a condo that was purchased for 115k. We cannot afford a house here. I am a nanny and go to school parrt time. Contrary to popular belief, not all pilots make good money. My boyfriend has worked hard and struggled to get where he is and what's wrong with wanting to do better?
We recycle aluminum cans for cash that we put in our "fun" jar. We do not go out to dinner. My boyfriend's car is a 1995 Honda civic. I have a 1998 ford ranger.

Hi, for your boyfriend pilot, might I suggest a website
www.jetcareers.com

The pilots on the website may have some suggestions.

Another website
www.findapilot.com

As you found, breaking into the corporate industry can be difficult, not sure of your boyfriend's ratings?

Mike

Thanks for your reply!
I have about 15 pilot job related websites that I check everyday! But, I didn't have jetcareers! So thanks! My boyfriend has over 5300 total time and is type rated in a Hawker800xp,CL-65 and current in Kingair C-90. ATP, MEL, Com Pilot, FAA 1st class med. We were thinking of possibly adverstising in the Seattle times...or maybe a smaller city paper like in Bremerton....

You will not find any pilot jobs listed, but, the Corporate Flight Attendants talk about working for the various owners, so, you may get a lead.

Something else to complicate things, owners sometime park the aircraft in one State, but work out another, they save money on taxes.

Also, visiting the FBOs can help, those gals at the front desk hear of people looking for pilots.

Hey Mike- Thanks for the great ideas! Yeah, the gals at BFI know him quite well! Ocassionally his current job sends him up that way and he does try to do some networking! Are you also a pilot? Do you know anything about Airpac airlines? I believe they are hiring....
