WC at H, You sound like you have a wonderful and loving family and a good relationship with your parents. If that is the case, you have no problem. DO sit down with them. Your mom loves you and probably has no idea how you are agonizing over all this. Tell her how you feel. You may be surprised at how much she will support your decisions! Best of luck!

When I moved away from where my parents lived it was nothing but guilt trips right away. My mom would call crying about how I left her. I am still very happy that I left though. I think that if you have kids and you live in CA, you will be so happy that you moved to the PNW. There are always cars to drive in, planes to fly, even trains or buses. You can talk on the phone, send pictures. You should really do what you want to do, I think that if you really want to move to the PNW badly and you never do it you will probably regret it some day. You can always go back if it does not work out. Your parents will probably be happy for you that you found a place that you love and are happy, or at least they should be.

sorry it took so long to answer this question about where to live. I'm still working on that one. We're currently getting the house ready for sale and applying for jobs in both Or and Wa. guess we'll have to see how things pan out. I just read some of the recent posts on this thread and I feel like it has helped some folks. I know it's helped me.
Speaking of jobs, any tips on key things to mention on a resume would help. Its been a while since I've done one of those. thanks everyone |
