Default Relocating from AZ to Wa

Hubby and I are basking in the glow of an empty nest and have decided to go on an adventure to the Pacific Northwest! My husband is a pilot and we can live pretty much wherever as far as commuting goes...and I am planning on enjoying unemployment for a bit, so we really don't have to be close to much! We are really interested in the Port Orchard/Gig Harbor area.....I've gone back several threads and didn't see much about those areas....any comments???

Gig Harbor and Port Orchard are incredible...Moderator cut: Advertisement removed . Lots of pilots live in this area. 30-45 min commute to SeaTac airport, great schools, great neighborhoods, lots of housing options (more expensive than a lot of areas, but some affordable spots too).
Gig Harbor is a bit closer to ammenities than Port Orchard, which drives GH's prices up some, but both are wonderful places to live.

What mthomson wrote is spot on. To find City-Data posts, go to the top of this page and click on Search. Type in one name (not both with a slash in between), chose "Show Posts", and a whole list of posts will come up. It's likely that many of your questions will be answered. Have fun!

We just re-reloacted from EL Paso, TX after having been gone five years.....other than readjusting to the rain I am wondering why we ever left.

Both areas are REALLY nice.

We have been looking at Mason county and far east Grays harbor county to avoid the crowds and higher cost of housing but its 45 min to Costco and lager grocery stores.
