but i couldnt take it down there any longer because of the people and the drugs. it makes everything in the area disgusting. from the schools to the jobs. its terrible how bad it is. i couldnt even leave my vehicle unlocked at a convinient store. no joke. and as for the jobs. they are very scarce and low paying. i did some crabbing and construction and i noticed that when people would get paid, they would leave for a week and come back all drugged up expecting to get back to work.
i havent lived there for almost 2 years now but i still go back to see family and everytime its getting worse and worse. youll see crackheads panhandling and dumpster diving in broad daylight. imagine what they would do at night. i dont trust anyone down there.
well thats all i have to say. hopefully it will deter you from making a bad decision. seriously! quarintine the area!

Exactly how I saw it while living in that area for 3 years! I didn't want my children getting sucked into how alot of people live there! (I didn't say everyone.) The only beauty around there was the timber areas. Beaches along the harbor were stinky and the water was sick!! The beach out of Westport was pretty, but always colder than inland since the wind seemed like it always blew. It was a regular occurance in the summer to drive into Westport and the marine clouds would roll in and drop temps over 10 degrees. (might have made it to 75 before the clouds.) I always thought the area was pretty being from the desert lands of Boise, but visiting an area is alot different than living there. I was glad to move out of there in 07 and I would tell people that I did 3 years "time" there. When we told people that we had moved there, we had received alot of "why's". If it wasn't for family that had lived there for years, we would have never went there.
