Default Port Angeles

Couple of questions about Port Angeles. How much is a gallon of regular unleaded right now? How much for a gallon of milk? Is there a part of Port Angeles that someone wants to avoid living in? Crime?

Thanks boatguy, I would like to know the answers to the same questions. Also, does the Port Angeles/Sequim area have high speed internet service, or is dial-up your only option? And, how is cell phone service in the area and what are the main carriers?

boatguy- if i remember right gas is about $3.60 right now. Not sure about milk. I would stay away from Gales Addition in east Port Angeles. other than that i think the rest of the area is fine. Crime is not too bad. check out another thread by Joebarb: Port Angeles Question

Port Angeles is known as "FiberCity". "Port Angeles already has four times more fiber optic cable per square mile than [Tacoma Washington's] CLICK Network." FiberCity-City of Port Angeles Here's a fun fact: Data transmitted through fiber optic cable travels in the form of light at 186,000 miles per second! (About Fiber Optics)
As for cell phone service- Verizon Wireless is the main carrier in the area with the best coverage. Another common carrier is Cingular/AT&T.

Milk is typically under $4 a gallon. Safeway has a 2 gallon special for under $6, probably to compete with Costco and keep milk from going bad.

If you live in an area that has fiber, get it, worth every penny. I get ping times (office) from the east coast of < 80ms.
