However, if you are concerned about ghosts, consider this:

"By 1900, Aberdeen was one of the roughest towns on the West Coast, with many saloons, whorehouses, and gambling establishments. Aberdeen was well known by sailors. It was nicknamed "The Hellhole of the Pacific", or "The Port of Missing Men", because of the high murder rate around the area. One notable resident was Billy Gohl, known locally as Billy "Ghoul", who was rumored to have killed at least 140 men."

Eventually, those who could afford it, moved up on the hill behind Aberdeen. There is a nice view of the Harbor and it doesn't flood up there.

O.K...I read one story about "The Cow Man"...Pretty odd story there, I must say, and it makes me reconsider renting from Big Foot, so never mind on that!
You mentioned flooding there in Aberdeen...Is that a problem around the Flats? Also, I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I just have to ask, and remember, I'm from Texas, so I have no idea about this;
The Mountains that you have in Washington....Do they run up to Aberdeen?
I love the Mountains, and the snow there, so an area that has this, is a plus for us.
Also, what could anyone tell me about Port Angelas, and Gold Bar?
I looked at some pictures of the Gold Bar area, and it is breathtaking! I also assume that it does snow there during the Winter? Port A...Are they too close to the Ocean to get Snow?
I work with a young Man that is from Washington State...He was telling me that the Aberdeen area, he did not like....He was saying that the town is kinda run-down? Is this the case? Please, any info, I would appreciate!

Flooding is, always has been, and always will be, a potential problem in any coastal town

There are no mountains in Aberdeen.
The Cascade range runs down the state to the east of Seattle.
The Olympic Mountains are to the north of Aberdeen closer to Port Angeles.

Port Angeles does get snow, but not much and not too often.

He is correct. If you do a search here on the CD forum you won't see much positive posting about the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area. But there are some of us who like the area because it is old, run down, and economically depressed. If we wanted to live in a shiny new area with business potential and expanding development, there are plenty of areas, especially in California, that would be better than anywhere in Western Washington.

Default Sequim seems nice

Have you considered Sequim? I have been looking into moving there myself. From what I can tell it is a nice town. Of course I am in Indiana and just about anyplace on the West coast looks good to me!

That is a easy one.Move to Graham. For rentals all you will find is a mobile or house on land. Some Duplexes.
4 Walmarts are 15-20 minutes away[no freeway to worry about, just woods, cows, horses and friendly people.

I lived in Western Wa. for over fifty years and am now in Crawfordsville and hate every minute of it. Will be leaving here for home on the 28th of April. Never to leave again.

The Sequim to Port Townsend area is a good choice. So is about any other area on the peninsula or the Kitsap peninsula. North of Seattle would also be a good choice.

Would love to hear if you have moved or made plans to do so.
