What are you talking about? Of course there's a north part of town. Every place has a N, S, E and W.

Back to the mill in PT. Look at wind maps. Summer is a west wind,.winter a south wind. Strong winds dissipate the smell, we often have strong winds. Rare are southwest winds, so town does not get smell much. Surprisingly, port Ludlow can get strong mill smell, the cloud follows the water down, otherwise it normally gets disapated in less than 5 miles.

Though I would ponder air quality in general, not much but thousands of miles of pacific ocean, I suspect air quality is still better with random whiffs of mill stench than in many inland US locals.
(I think Japans radiation and China's pollution is going south of us.)
