How is this commute? How long would it take worst case scenario? The job is in Monroe so considering Everett as one of the options, since Monroe doesn't have a lot of apts.

Half an hour tops. "Worst case" = what? Earthquake collapsing the bridges? Whiteout?

The main commute is into Everett, so you'd be going against the flow. The US 2 viaduct can be trafficky at times. Note however that Everett isn't tiny, so the precise location in Everett would also make a difference in terms of access to US 2.

You asked this same advice in January. There were links posted in that thread to apartments in Monroe, as well as advice about the Everett to Monroe commute. Perhaps re-reading that previous thread can answer your question this time too. What job, what company are you looking at that has been willing to wait 2+ months for you?

If you absolutely MUST be in Everett for that coveted Everett address, the best case would be to find an apartment off of 132nd near Puget Park/Silver Firs and take back roads to 522.

Worst case would be to find an apartment in far west Everett on the waterfront.

An accident on the US 2 bridge/viaduct over the Snohomish River could tie things up indefinitely, just as an accident can tie up any major highway anywhere. Bad weather can slow you down. A flood in Monroe, or a prison break from the Monroe penitentiary could slow you down. You want guarantees?

Here's an article about the US 2 trestle. Remember the OP would be going counter-flow.
