Personally, I think that City Data should add more categories for Bellingham/North Sound, Olympia/South Sound, Bremerton/West Sound, and Central Washington (Yakima, Ellensburg, Tri-Cities, and Walla Walla) in place of just Tri-Cities. Maybe also: Olympic Peninsula (Port Townsend, Sequim, Port Angeles, and Aberdeen/Hoquiam).

Opinions? Other suggestions?

Agree, I'm looking specifically to move to Olympic
Penninsula and with the current set up, am wading through tons of posts I have no interest in.

The only problem with that idea is that the sub-forums that already exist get FAR less click-traffic than the main Washington forum. I think the Seattle sub-forum might have a decent following (although I never look there so I can't say for sure) but the others are simply boring. The Spokane sub-forum has roughly 10-15 posts per week (-ish), and other places would probably be even worse.

I vote to keep sub-forums minimal, but see benefit to combining as reasonable to limit total number of subs.

Probably best benefit to new users / seekers is to have a 'one-stop-shop', but certainly Seattle needs it's own. Many WA residents might go to Seattle once every few yrs (physically or on the forums).

The Seattle forum is "Seattle area; Seattle and King County". I think they might as well just go ahead and add Snohomish and Pierce counties in. The main cities in those counties does get frequent mentions in the Seattle forum.
