Hi there,

I'm planning a Spring Break trip to visit Seattle (from Florida) as a possible relocation choice. I was wondering if 4 or 5 days would be enough to explore the area and get a feel/intro to the place?

I would like to visit some tourist places but also venture into where the locals hang out and investigate the scene there.

Does anyone know of neat places where I should go visit and if Vancouver would be a good idea to visit while I'm up there. I'm aware that Seattle and Vancouver are close to about 3 hours apart but I plan on hiring a rental vehicle to travel northwards.

My major is Journalism, but I am looking into creative design, sales and entertainment paths so if anyone knows of any companies I should possibly shadow, please keep me informed. Thanks!

Four to five days would probably not be enough time to visit both Seattle and Vancouver. On that schedule (Fly in on Thurs, fly out on Sun or Mon?), I'd say stick just to Seattle. Vancouver, whether by car or train, would take closer to four hours each way.

As to "investigate the scene there", you'll want to check out Belltown, the Pike/Pine Corridor (Capitol Hill), Broadway (Capitol Hill), the University District, Fremont, and/or Ballard.
