Smile Looking for a small Mountain town

Currently working and living on the western slope of Colorado. In the near future, would like to move to a small mountain town. Areas to be considered would be Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, the smaller the better. Anyone who knows of a great small town in the mountains, I would like to hear from you.

Thanks,

Tinapearl

Leavenworth Washington.

Bavarian themed town in the mountains, lots of snow, nice summers, less than 2 hours from Seattle.

Enterprise, Oregon. Small farming/ranching town in northeastern Oregon at the base of the Wallowas, an alpine backdrop very reminiscent of Jackson WY or Walden CO. Even smaller towns, Joseph and Wallowa, are nearby.

Bigfork MT, Sisters OR, Leavenworth WA: all very pretty small towns at the edge of the mountains with many art shops, but tend to be overrun by tourists in summer. Population of each is about 2000.

Stanley, Idaho. In the heart of the Idaho Primitive area and River of No Return (Salmon River) wilderness, it is a very small town (pop under 200).

Twisp, WA - From what I hear this is a wonderful place to live. Ive have visited there once and loved it. My brother hopes to move there one day. He is into outdoor activities like snowboarding and wakeboarding. Beautiful area with nice weather. Population of around 1,000 people.
