Lightbulb Pics of the snow on the coast

Just a few pics I took around our house when the snow started falling. We're up on the hills in Grays Harbor. The old timers I've talked to around here said they couldn't remember the last time we got so much snow. Probably about a foot and a half over the last 3 days.

Thanks for sharing those... how beautiful!!!!

Last night we were woken by the dog barking at 2 deer on our front lawn standing anke deep in the snow. It was awesome and beautiful with the white backdrop. I wanted to take pics but was afraid of spooking the deer. So we just sat and watched them as they sat and watched us.

Funny how the snow seems to bring them out and so close to homes. Guess they were after our apples still falling from the tree.

We get 5-10 deer aday by our place, sometimes in the yard. Despite the fact they eat some of my plants and crap on the lawn every now and then, it's nice to be reminded that we're surrounded by nature, even though we're so close to downtown.

WA is the best.

Great pics.. We got nothing CLOSE to that here in the South Sound... Maybe an inch or so, not even enough to completely cover the grass on my lawn.. Can't wait for the next snow, if it happens again this year...

Default Thanks for sharing

Your pictures were beautiful. Won't comment on how many deer we get--trying to figure out how to keep them off the yard, there are at least 25 a day. Oh well, that's country living.

Thanks again for sharing your pics. Looks just like Lake Tahoe! Minus all the tourists and cars.

Great pictures, Ryan...My cousin that lives in Hoquiam sent me some, too. She was really jazzed by the snow.

I love the deer, when we lived in NorCal we had 3 acres and deer fed regularly on my roses....I didn't really care, being a city girl it was fun to watch them...

The mobile we are buying in Elma is next to a golf course and my uncle says there are deer and elk out there all the time so I can't wait.

We should be coming up that way after Christmas sometime to take possession of the mobile and start some paint and fix up. Can't wait for that, too.

Have a great day!
