Default Kingston vs Poulsbo Middle Scools?

We're looking at buying a home in the N. kitsap area and are looking for input on the differences between Kingston & Poulsbo as far as middle schools and high schools.

Thanks in advance!

Poulsbo Middle School is older, but located in town. Kingston Middle is the newer of the two and is located right next to the brand new Kingston high School, which opened this year. You can go to the North Kitsap School District website to view boundary maps for each of the schools. Note that the Kingston schools have students from more rural areas like Suquamish, Indianola and Hansville, while the Poulsbo schools are located in town. We have been pleased with the staff at Kingston Middle.

That is the major difference--there are new schools in Kingston. Considering it takes a while for corruption to settle in and gain tenure, I'd go for Kingston.

My neighbor isn't thrilled with Poulsbo High but really likes Poulsbo Middle. I personally am not thrilled with any of the school options around here though I only have a first grader. Kindergarten at Poulsbo Elementary was abysmal. As in many places though, it all depends on the particular teacher(s) your child gets!
