Gig Habor good place to raise a family?
I heard they might raise the toll to $5 eventually?
$3 toll is already bad enough. It seems like a beautiful
area with good schools and low crime.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Great school system, very low crime, wonderful community feel, and tons of new ammenities that make crossing the bridge unnecessary unless you work over there (new Costco, YMCA, 2 medical centers, Target, Home Depot, Pier 1, etc). The Silverdale Mall is only about 5 min further from Gig Harbor than the Tacoma Mall, and without the bridge.
If you live in Gig Harbor, get a "Good to Go" pass and the toll is only $1.75. The proposed rate hike for July is to put cash price at $4, "Good to Go" price at $2.75.
Well worth it for the quality of life in my opinion.

Argumentativeness and character assination are not what C-D is about, Balco9. You asked a question. Either accept the answers you receive, or go somewhere else.

Gig Harbor is a beautiful town and was one of the areas we looked at when moving here to Washington. We chose Belfair instead, as it is more of a rural town than Gig Harbor, but it was tough to decide. Mthomson is correct about the area. I'm not a real estate agent. I choose to make people glow in the dark for a living. I would trust the word of someone who evaluates an area on a daily basis, but that's just me I guess.

If you ask a question any member of C-D is permitted to reply, it is up to you to decide who to listen to but it is not up to you to "exclude" others from the conversations. That said, stay on topic.
