I recently accepted a position with Boeing @ Bellevue, WA. Can someone recommend a good location to rent an apartment? I don't mind the location as long as I do NOT have to deal with rush hour traffic jam. I have been looking at google traffic, and it looks like I-405 north bound, and I-90 west bound looks bad around 8am PST. However, 520 West towards I-405 do not look as congested around that time.

Any and all advice is much appreciated.

TIA.

You'll get more responses if you post this in the Seattle forum, which also covers the Eastside (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Issaquah, etc.). Depending on your budget (?), you might have to make some compromises on the commute, or look to rent a room. Don't overlook "east" Seattle. Be clear about any other preferences.

I recommend shared housing for 1-3 months until you figure what you want for a more permanent situation. Doesn't really matter where the shared housing is, but close to work is better, You know you will move in 1-3 months anyway. We are assuming single, at this time?

Thank you for the suggestions. I searched craiglist and do see quite a few options. Presently, it'll just be me moving to this area.
