Moving to Entiat???? (Wenatchee, Chelan: to rent, houses, employment)

I'm considering relocating to Entiat WA with in a few months and I'm looking for some info on the area. Anything you can share about cost of living and job availability. I am also interested in the art and gay community in the surrounding area.

still considering that move? Entiat is very small. Probably have to work in Wenatchee, depending on your skill. You can check out the Wenatchee World on line classifieds for jobs, houses.
don't know where you're from but cost of living is acceptable, not too hi, certainly not low.
gay community is active here.

I worked up on the entiat 58 yrs ago . If you have a chance to go and live there for a while don't miss it. You will probably think it is heaven or hell but don't pass up the chance. You will regret it all the rest of your life if you do. Steve in Baltimore

Entiat is a great little community and if you have a love for the outdoors or outdoor recreation, it'd be hard to find a better place. Wenatchee is 15 minutes south, you're right on the Columbia and Entiat Rivers, you can explore the Entiat Valley to the west, 20 minutes north is the always gorgeous Lake Chelan... awesome location.

The trick is finding a way to make it work, the primary industry is agriculture so if you're not agriculturally employable or able to work for yourself from home you'll probably be commuting to Wenatchee or Chelan for a job.
