Hello, I am in the Navy and will be transfering to Everett from Hawaii. I am having trouble finding a house or duplex to rent, that allows large dogs. I have a Lab/Husky mix about 60 lbs. We will be there on July 1.
If anyone has or knows of a place that will be available on or around that time for about 1,100 a month that would be great.

I have been looking on craigslist but can't find much that fits my needs.
Thanks to all.
Martin

These might be helpful --
a recent thread on the subject in City-Data:
http://www.city-data.com/forum/washi...-question.html
About a comment in the first post there, there's no "the 5" here. It's I-5 ("eye5" without "the").

and an interesting site, Navy Life Pacific Northwest:
Navylifepnw.com :: Family Housing

I've always heard people say to stay away from Casino Road in Everett.
Marysville is less expensive, generally, than Everett, but stay away from west of the railroad or right in downtown.

I think Marysville would be a great place to rent in and commute to base. It's enough country, but still close to stores, libraries, pools, outlet mall, and pet store! mod cut: soliciting removed

Everett is very large and you just noted only 2 places. You would really have to travel around Everett to find a place you thought was right...yes there are spots with more crime than others. But if you look at Forest Park, Silver lake, Port Gardner, areas west of Evergreen Way, and northwest of Downtown like Hoyt, Rucker, and Grand...they are all nice. the closer you get to North Broadway the worse. And yes, Mukilteo and Mill Creek are nice but Everett has much more character.
