4abbys is on a distinguished road
We are a family with 2 kids (5 and 7) considering moving to Whidbey. I am curious if anyone has any thoughts on the schools- particularly South Whidbey district vs Coupeville district. Thanks!

In general, the Coupeville district has a better reputation than the South Whidbey district, and both of them have a better reputation than the Oak Harbor district, but I haven't heard horrible things about any of them.

The South Whidbey school district has been experiencing declining enrollment, and is facing budget cuts. There is also some cronyism in the administration, but I guess that's typical for school districts. I don't know what the situation is in Coupeville, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was similar.
