Default Are break-ins still occuring in Mill Creek?

http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/06/11/06/100loc_b1mill001.cfm (broken link)

Even though this article is dated November 6th, 2006 I was curious to know if resurgance of break-ins was just a rash of burglaries, if the police have caught the culprits, or if it's become an on going problem for residents of Mill Creek, Lynnwood, Edmonds, and Mukilteo, WA. If it happens enough the property values of houses in those areas dip down and homeowners should be worried about that more than anything~
leave some feedback, thanks, and have a great day!~

I live just south of Mill Creek and 7 houses in my area (including my own) were burglarized about 10 days ago. My neighborhood is usually very quiet, so this came as somewhat of a shock - especially since I know at least two of the houses had alarm systems installed. The culprits are gutsy, but very quick. I applaud the Snohomish County Deputies who raced to my house, but I don't hold out much hope that they will be caught. Hopefully I will be proven wrong, but the Sheriff's office has its hands full.

I moved from there 6 months ago - but as of that time, yes - still happening.

Our car was broken into (and identity stolen : ID, check book, debit card number, mail - so much) and same with our neighbors.

Our handyman had his house broken into in the middle of the day - while his wife was out of the house for only two hours!

Property theft and damage is at an all time high in that area.

Oh, and I was wrong. It was 4 months ago, not 6.
