Default Bellingham Jobs

I am transferring to WWU as a Biology major, I will not have employment at first and will have plenty of time to look around with my current financial situation. I am just wondering if any one has any suggestions for work that would relate to my field of study? I realize that without my BS degree, I will need to take something in a lower position and I am okay with that as long as it somehow relates to Biology? Any info would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks,
Nick

You might want to check the local newspaper, The Bellingham Herald, for their classifieds:

An internship can lead to paying jobs:

Have you checked craigslist?
And when you get to WWU, they will have up-to-date resources.

Default Thanks

I haven't looked at the paper yet, I have looked at Craigslist, their doesn't seem to be much in the way of Biology work. I was thinking about maybe an aquaculture job, I know that there's some of that up there. I'll check out the college boards, thanks for your response and the links, I really appreciate the help.

Wow, that is a tough on. However, Bellingham as a large fish hatchery. I am not sure if it is run by the City of the Fish and Wild Life department. All I know is that there is a large hatchery there. It might be privately owned too because Bellingham has a large fishing industry.

I briefly remember going to a fish hatchery in Holly Street or somewhere near there by the water.

You might want to check them out. I think that is your best bet.

It's pretty much nil around here. My wife has a MS in Biology and Chemistry. She's certified and was teaching, but now we've had a 10% student count drop and a bunch of teachers got let go. One dairy was hiring a water and milk tester and they were lined up 15 people deep for a $12/hr job
