Default Pictures from Washington, outside the cities

There are threads for pictures in several of specific city forums, but I didn't find one for images from outside those urban areas.

This is of Palouse Falls, taken a bit less than a month ago. It's out in the middle of nowhere (the nearest named place is Washtucna), probably about three or four highway hours from Seattle, one and a half from Yakima, one from the Tri-Cities, three from Spokane.

Not in the picture are three peregrine falcons that flew over us while we were there. They fly too fast for me to get my camera pointed....

Another picture, this one from somewhere southwest of Mount Vernon, WA, back in January; this about 90 highway minutes north of Seattle. Mount Baker in the background, and a couple thousand snow geese grazing in the field, and more flying in.

The noise, incidentally, was amazing, and you have no clue to that in a still image.

tcres is on a distinguished road
I just visited Palouse Falls a couple weeks ago. I would have never guessed something like that was out in the middle of nowhere. I've driven from the Tri-Cities to Pullman hundreds of times.

We even parked right next to the car of the man who kidnapped the girl from Boise. I thought it was odd to see a car from Alabama there. :/
